Meditation Technique for Merging onto Yourself

This technique, Nithyananda tells us is for those who are in love with an object or person. He further elaborates what the true meaning of the word love rather than the societal meaning for this word. It will awaken a whole new energy in us since we are now ready. If you cannot experience love you cannot experience god

He goes on to tell us that Ramanuja, Shankara and Madhva created the three major philosophies that are alive in India. Through this story from Ramanuja's life Nithyananda teaches us that if we cannot experience love to an object or person in front of us, we cannot experience god. Nithyananda goes on to give us greater insights into why we are not able to open up completely and resort to various alternatives to experiencing love.

It is easy to open up and shower our love on to an animal, a little more difficult to open up to a human being. Opening up to an enlightened being is still more difficult since you lose your boundary. Opening up to an enlightened being allows you to experience yourself. Nithyananda then goes on to talk about a heart warming story of Kannappa, an innocent hunter who fully opened up to Shiva and became enlightened.

True Meaning of Love

Nithyananda in this clip taken from the discourse titled "Love is Your Very Life" (Bhagavad Gita 12) says that after spiritual experience comes Bhakti and social service. It is not the other way. Only a person who had the experience of every being as part of the cosmic consciousness, only he can know and radiate love. Words and deeds of an Enlightened Master, however trivial those may seem, always do good to everyone. On the other hand words and deeds of an un-Enlightened person, however great those may be, bring misery. For example, a simple instruction such as "Watch your Breath" from Buddha helped thousands to experience the Consciousness, whereas the "Theory of Relativity" led to the invention of Atomic Bomb.
