With the snake-rope example, Nithyananda explains Maya through the words of Shiva. The sutra that starts with "Illusions deceive..." explains how one can become Shiva. Nithyananda spends some time only on these two words so that the illusionary Maya as real as it seems simply dissolves and what remains is the ultimate truth.
